The suburb of North Oaks, Minnesota is happy to have you as a new resident in our community of about 5,000 residents. You will enjoy the privacy and seclusion that your North Oaks home provides due to the private access signs and other features designed to keep unwanted visitors at a distance. The community has many of its own features, but it is also close enough to the metropolitan region that you are never far from anything you may need to fit your lifestyle.
The North Oaks Garden Club is one of the features that residents enjoy during the spring and summer months. The club holds an annual plant sale just before Mother\'s Day at the James J. Hill Farm Site and there is free admission so you can see all the beautiful plants without spending a dime. The City Forester and several master gardeners are at the events to answer any planting or flower questions you may have. For more information about donations, sales or anything else, contact Marcie Mastel at (651) 484-1920.
The North Oaks Golf Club has lush greens and rolling hills that every golfer can enjoy. Originally designed by Stanley Thompson and golfer Tom Lehman, this golf course is relatively new and it has many challenging holes to fit every golfer\'s skill level. The club also has banquet rooms that have breathtaking views of the course and outdoor patios are ideal for enjoying the Minnesota breeze while enjoying lunch or dinner. You can also schedule your wedding here for a truly spectacular event. For more information about the course or banquet room rental information, call Kay Zeigler at (651) 484-9627.
North Oaks has a goal to encourage its residents to recycle as much as possible and help make the world a better place. To be a recycler, all you have to do is set your recyclables by your garage door by 7:30 am and put them in waterproof containers or paper bags. Make sure your recyclables are at least 10 feet away from your regular trash so the crew can differentiate the two. For more information about trash pickup or recyclables, call the North Oaks City Hall at (651) 792-7750.
The North Oaks Singles Network is open to single residents of the community. It is designed to offer an environment in which singles can network and socialize with others who are also single. By connecting with others, North Oaks singles may find the person of their dreams or simply someone who they enjoy spending time with. For more information about events, call Teri at (651) 482-8330.
The North Oaks Playgroup is open to all parents and children to help kids make friends in the community. Meeting places change from time to time and you are welcome to bring a lunch for you and your child. Playgroups usually take place on Monday, but you can email Stephanie for a complete schedule and more information at szumbolo@gmail.com.
